With our Fleet-40 GPS telematics device, the spreading data protocols of various European spreading equipment manufacturers (Aebi-Schmidt, KüpperWeisser, Rasco, Kugelmann, Kahlbacher, Springer, Rauch, Hydrac, epoke, Gmeiner, RAUCH, Jetter…) can be transmitted.
The special feature of the GPS Fleet software is that, in addition to spreader manufacturers that support the winter service standard CEN15430, proprietary protocols of the manufacturers (e.g. ALPROT, RAUCH) can also be supported.
GRITTING DATA RECORDING

The spreading data contains the set spreading quantity in g/m², spreading width, brine content and additional data (e.g. total spreading quantity in kg).
Various spreading rate protocols can be set in the GPS Fleet software in accordance with the CEN15430 winter service/municipal machine standard.
By linking the recorded spreading data with the GPS time, the spreading data is more accurate than when using the set system time of the spreaders.
Where possible, the values of the total quantity counters of the manufacturer's spreading control panels are adopted and evaluated so that the recorded spreading quantities match the displays on the spreader.

With modern top-mounted spreaders and spreaders in particular, it is not easy to determine the actual distances spread during winter service.
In most cases, the direct RS232 data interface to the control panel of the spreader is required so that the actual set parameters such as spreading width, spreading quantity and material spread (salt and brine) can be accessed.
Our GPS telematics supports various spreaders and differs from other providers in some important details.
The most important difference is that our devices can correct the system time errors of the spreader control panels.
This ensures that the spread quantity is displayed on the road at the correct time with the correct GPS point.
This means that important spreading data can also be temporarily stored on the tracking device if network reception is not possible.
The spread rates recorded by GPS are automatically totaled in spread reports and can be sent by e-mail or commented on by the driver via smartphone.
