GPS tracking can also be a very good support for manual winter maintenance.
Mobile employees, snow shovelers or shovel crews move out to keep important areas, stairs and entrances free of snow and ice.
If the vehicle is not sufficient to locate them, the employees can have mobile GPS trackers plugged in, which continuously record the positions and transmit them to the software.
The head of operations can also keep an eye on the current GPS position of mobile employees on the move and check the routes covered and buildings and areas visited with GPS tracking.
Mobile GPS devices also have limitations: the accuracy of GPS positioning is lower and there are more interference factors (proximity to buildings), but the advantages of GPS documentation still outweigh the disadvantages of manual winter road maintenance.
